Aeromotive’s Power Planner Lays Out The Fuel System Foundation

RicksTanks-073When we were working on a car for the first time, it was probably just to change a filter or spark plugs – light tune up stuff. As we learned more about customizing and hot rodding, our knowledge base and abilities required more than just replacing a part, we began to learn how certain systems function, how they work, and what to do when they don’t work.

These days, with so many options on fuel delivery – from single to multiple carburetors or from throttle body EFI to multi-port fuel injection – laying out the fuel system typically requires multiple trips to the parts store to get that one component you didn’t add into your plans. The Aeromotive Power Planner lays out the groundwork for a fuel system, giving you a clear and concise road map to get the go-juice from the fuel tank to the intake with dozens of well-engineered illustrations.

Nothing is left out of each of these road maps, either. From the first part you will need – either the fuel pump or the fuel filter – to the very last fitting on the carburetor or fuel rail/throttle body, and back to the fuel tank. In between the beginning and end of your fuel’s travels from one end to the other, there are multiple components: additional fittings, fuel filters, hoses, regulators, and more, depending on the setup – Aeromotive has you covered.

Each schematic is laid out as a best practices scenario for mapping your fuel delivery, including which fuel lines – and what size fuel lines – attach to which ports on the fuel pressure regulator, and which direction the fuel is flowing to and from each component. Each part number is listed, all searchable on the Aeromotive website. There are six sections for the various types of fuel systems, with more diagrams added regularly, so give it a look and see which one fits your vehicle best.

If you’re planning out your fuel delivery, or you just want to see if you got it right, check out the Aeromotive Power Planner and get the juices flowing properly. If you’re not sure which one will work best, give them a call – they’re specialists and they’d love to help you out.
