New from Maximum Motorsports – coilover conversion kits for the 1979-2004 Ford Mustang. These kits tout second-generation shocks with oversized bushings and shafts, the better to reduce deflection, and are adjustable to boot. See more details below.
Official Release:
New Maximum Motorsports packages make it easy and affordable to convert Mustangs to coil-over suspension. Engineered for home installation, these complete installation packages improve handling and enable 1979-2004 Mustang owners to quickly raise or lower ride height.
The damping curve of new Street, Sport, and Race packages is matched to spring rates appropriate for each series’ intended use. Maximum Motorsports-manufactured struts and second-generation shocks feature oversized shafts and bushings to reduce deflection. The combination of monotube housings and high gas pressure prevents oil foaming and fading, for improved damper performance. The wide adjustment range of included Maximum Motorsports caster-camber plates allows alignment for both the street and track.
Money-saving coil-over packages include Maximum Motorsports struts and shocks valved to match the spring rates in each package; four springs; front and rear coil-over-conversion kits; double-adjustable Maximum Motorsports caster-camber plates; shock-to-axle mounting brackets; and photo-illustrated instructions. Some optional accessories are required for certain applications. All parts are also sold separately.
