We do it every year to open our doors and show people that we are building really cool hot rod, street rod, and muscle car parts. — David Kass, QA1
“At QA1 we have been putting on our open house and this is our sixth year, which is crazy to think about. It’s something that we have really enjoyed doing,” Dave Kass, Customer Service Manager for QA1, said. “We do it every year to open our doors and show people that we are building really cool hot rod, street rod, and muscle car parts, right in their back yard right here in Minnesota…”
“One thing that we always find when we are out at shows is that people don‘t always fully understand what goes into manufacturing,” David added. “When you hear ‘made in the USA’ there are a lot of variations of that. Some products can just be assembled in the US and wear that tag.”
Every 10 minutes or another group toured the facility to see just what does go into making these products. It certainly was impressive to see the full array of testing and manufacturing capabilities that QA1 utilizes to create suspension and driveline components.
Being the one that leads the cruise and looking back in the mirror to see 125 hot rods in tow is pretty cool. — David Kass, QA1
“Tying it in with the Street Machine Summer Nationals is a very fun thing to do. On average we bring in on average 125-plus cars, so it brings 200-225 people to QA1 and not only are they getting the tours and spending time with us this morning, so we get to cruise on up to the Street Machine Nationals, which is about a 35-40 minute drive for us,” David said. “Being the one that leads the cruise and looking back in the mirror to see 125 hot rods in tow is pretty cool.”
Before the cruise left for the event, several lucky participants loaded up with raffle prizes ranging from Summit Racing gift certificates and fold-up chairs to Optima Batteries gift certificates and a full set of QA1 double-adjustable dampers.
