Regular readers are no doubt familiar with Revology Cars, the replica vehicle company founded by former Ford Special Vehicle Team marketing guru, Tom Scarpello. The company started by replicating the classic Mustang with pushrod power and quickly evolved with Coyote-powered machines and officially licensed Shelby replicas. The latest in that lineage is a 1967 Shelby GT500.
“Our cars feature modern technology to improve performance, reliability, durability, fuel economy, safety, and comfort,” Tom Scarpello, president and founder of Revology Cars, said “while retaining the essential character and style of the original design.”

Of course, the centerpiece of the standard equipment on the 1967 GT500 replica is a modern, Ford 5.0-liter engine.
“With high-revving power, excellent torque, light weight, smoothness, and modern reliability, the Coyote is the obvious choice,” Tom added. “Yes, compared to a pushrod engine, it is a much more complex installation, there are more technical hurdles to overcome, and it costs more to build. But it is worth it. It is definitely the way to go for someone who wants to actually drive his car, not just sit and look at it.”
For a car that carries the Shelby GT500 moniker, that someone might want more oomph than even the vaunted Coyote can provide in naturally aspirated form. Thankfully, Revology is offering a supercharged option, but it entails far more than just a blower and it is said to deliver 600 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque.
“This is not just a supercharger bolted to the base engine, this is a purpose-built supercharged engine originally designed for the Roush Stage III Mustang,” Tom explained. “It is bulletproof and comes with a two-year manufacturer’s warranty. Furthermore, we have changed so much of the car to handle the increased output, it is almost a totally different car”
Pricing for Revology’s Shelby GT500 starts at $185,000 for the 435-horsepower, 5.0-liter Coyote version with six-speed manual transmission. Stepping up to the 600-horsepower, supercharged version carries a $220,000 tariff. You can learn more about the latest Revology machines here.
