The Fox Mustang is one of the most flexible vehicles around. It can be adapted to become a low-e.t. drag car or a corner-carving track car. It can even become an impressive street machine. However, it is also one of the most flexible Mustangs as its unibody chassis is known to move more than a tectonic plate on a fault line.
To restrain those seismic shifts it is a smart idea to bolster that chassis as well as possible, even on stock cars. However, as performance increases it is even more important to install a stout set of subframe connectors, which is exactly why Team Z Motorsports developed its Team Z Full-Length Under Car Subframe Connectors (PN TZM-FL-UCSFC; $209) for 1979-1993 Fox and 1994-2004 Fox-4/SN95 Mustangs.
The Team Z Motorsports Team Z Full-Length Under Car Subframe Connectors are built from .120-wall drawn over mandrel tubing that measures 1 ½ inches in diameter. These tubes are CNC formed to conform to the underside of your Mustang and ease fitment.
“Designed to fit under the car and stiffen up the frame, these are a simple install!” says Team Z. “What separates ours from the competition? Our subframe connectors come with torque box reinforcements that insure to stiffen the frame rails from front to back! We have precut holes in the material to provide for easier spot welding while installing.”
