One of the biggest online retailers of Ford Mustang aftermarket gear is AmericanMuscle.com. Once a year, however, the company brings its automotive passion from the internet into the real world with an annual car show that benefits a worthy charity. This year the show returns several new ways to help the cause and enjoy one of the biggest shows around.

“The 2017 AmericanMuscle Car Show is expected to be the largest show to date, with thousands of Mustangs and spectators all converging on Maple Grove Raceway on August 12th (rain date August 19th),” says the company. “Once again, the proceeds from the AmericanMuscle Car Show will be used to benefit Make-A-Wish, with the goal of surpassing last year’s total of $60,200.”

Besides helping a worthy charity, the show is designed to celebrate the Ford Mustang. As such, the heart of the event is a massive Mustang show, which awards three trophies in each judged category as well as an overall Best in Show trophy. This year’s classes include Pre-1979 Classic, 1979-1993 Fox, 1994-1998 SN-95, 1999-2004 New Edge, 2005-2009 S197, 2010-2014 S197, 2015-2017 S550 and Special Edition Mustangs.

Besides the car show, there will be numerous other events throughout the day, including the Make-A-Wish Opening Ceremony Parade, that will feature convertibles giving rides to Make-A-Wish kids down the drag strip. Speaking of the drag strip, there will be head-to-head exhibition drag races.

From a massive car show to a burnout contest, the AmericanMuscle car show is a celebration of Mustang muscle.

To ramp up the enjoyment and raise more money for the charity, AmericanMuscle has added a number of tiered upgrades beyond the basic $25 registration. Car show participants can upgrade to VIP parking for $75 (limited to 20 spots), while participants can also add joining the Revving Competition ($100) or smoking tires in the Burnout Competition ($100).

To help raise more money for Make-A-Wish, AmericanMuscle is offering some premium experiences affiliated with this year’s show, including a tour of its headquarters and an air-conditioned, catered lounge at the show.

For those really looking for something special, the company is offering a couple of premium opportunities. The first of which is a tour of its headquarters hosted by its video host Justin Dugan, which offers an up-close look at AmericanMuscle’s project cars and warehouse for $150. For those who want to soak up the show in luxury style, there is the AM2017 Lounge Experience ($200). Those in the lounge will enjoy great seats, air conditioning, food, beverages and a celebrity appearance during the exhibition races.

No matter how you participate, it sounds like a great day to us. For more details on the event, you can visit the official page right here.
