If you are a fan of adding carbon fiber to your next Ford hot hatch build, then chances are you have heard of Anderson Composites. The company specializes in fiberglass and carbon fiber components for a wide variety of late-model domestic vehicles.
This week at SEMA, the company debuted a new line of carbon fiber and fiberglass products for the 2018 Ford Focus RS and the F-150 Raptor. We had the chance to sit down and talk to Andy Fritts this week at SEMA to find out what makes Anderson Composites a natural choice for many hot hatch enthusiasts.
“What makes Anderson Composites different is that it was launched specifically to target the late-model, domestic audience to concentrate on true performance carbon fiber,” Andy explained. “Most of us at Anderson Composites come from some sort of racing background, and we wanted to build aftermarket parts that were both lighter and improved the aerodynamics of domestic vehicles.”
Andy was also quick to point out that you really do get the best of both worlds when choosing the Anderson Composite carbon fiber parts. “While many people will undoubtedly buy our products for the aesthetic appeal, having an aftermarket product that will shave some weight come track day is also a huge advantage,” he said.
The Anderson Composites booth also featured an impressive display of Ford aftermarket products available for the Ford Mustang and EcoBoost Raptor as well.
Many of the Anderson Composites parts for the 2016-2018 Ford Focus RS are now available on the company’s website to order right here if you are so inclined.
