Melling Introduces Ford 4.6/5.4L High Volume Oil Pump

Melling is adding a new performance high volume oil pump for Ford 4.6L and 5.4L 3-valve and 4-valve engines. The 10341 high volume oil pump provides 20% additional oil flow for performance engines running additional bearing clearance or utilizing additional components which require more oil flow.

The 10341 pump has been designed by Melling engineering as a drop-in replacement to the original equipment oil pumps. No modifications to the engine, pickup tube assembly or other components are required. The 10341 pump housing is machined in-house to exacting standards and then hard coat anodized to resist wear. All the features that make our performance wet sump oil pumps best in class have been utilized in the new 10341 high volume pump. This includes the coated cast iron cover plate and optional lower pressure (-20 psi) spring. As a result the pump exceeds original equipment manufacturers specifications to meet the demanding lubrication needs of performance engines.

In comparison the 10341 is a 20% higher volume version of Melling’s M340 and M360 stock replacement oil pumps. Installed from the factory is an 80 psi pressure relief spring but that pressure setting can be reduced to 60 psi using the optional lower pressure spring.

Every pump is performance tested after it is machined, cleaned, and assembled at our Jackson, MI facility. Melling is global supplier of engine parts and is ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001 certified.
