Event Reminder: Pennzoil AutoFair at Charlotte Motor Speedway

With hot rods, muscle cars, exotics, and classics – What’s being referred to as “the world’s largest automotive extravaganza” is returning to the famed Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina in just a short couple of weeks.

This year, the Pennzoil AutoFair will showcase over 50 different car club displays and over 10,000 vendor spaces – enough to keep you treasure-hunting for quite some time. Charlotte Motor Speedway’s 1.5-mile super speedway will be transformed into the obligatory “car corral,” lined with roughly 1,500 collectible vehicles up for sale.

As if the wide expanse of show cars to view and memorabilia to buy wasn’t enough to keep us car enthusiasts busy, there are plenty of other awesome things to experience throughout the event’s weekend. Attendees also will have the chance to partake in a Chevrolet ride-and-drive exhibit and check out awesome car-crushing Jeeps, the burnout contest (back by popular demand), and drifting displays from the famous Vaughn Gittin Jr.

The professional Formula Drift driver will be available for autographs and will be showing off some of his favorite rides, including a tribute example of the Ford Mustang Shelby.

For those of us that are more interested in grip, though, the AutoFair will also feature an expansive preview of the upcoming ROVAL 400 road race event at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Two Chevrolet Corvette GTP cars, owned by NASCAR driver Rick Hendrick, will be showcased in the track’s infield collection of show cars.

The event will take place September 6-9, with tickets starting at just $11. Four day tickets are also available as a “buy three, get one free,” for only $32. To buy tickets, or learn more about the event check out the official Pennzoil AutoFair website HERE.
