When Ford’s Special Vehicle Team (SVT) undertook the design and creation of the second-generation Lightning, their goal was to craft the ultimate sport truck. Fitted with a supercharged 5.4-liter engine and a sport suspension, the truck was destined for road racing victories. However, technological advancements have far surpassed the truck’s original output and capabilities. To make matters worse, neglect from previous owners has left these trucks in serious need of some care. We’ve come across one such abandoned Lightning and aspire to bring it up to modern specifications, enabling it to handle even the most intense road racing and autocross situations!
