A key part of that performance is putting the power to the pavement with specially designed Michelin tires that are said to borrow from lessons learned on the Ford GT supercar and Shelby GT350 halo ’Stang.
“We took everything we learned at the track, including feedback from professional drivers, to create a tire custom-tuned for Mustang GT,” Gary Swingle, Michelin tire engineer, explained.
The tires in question are Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S summer tires specifically engineered for the latest Mustang. They measure 255/40-19 in front and 275/40-19 in back and feature a unique tread pattern and compound designed for maximum wet and dry grip.
