Today Ford launched its Build & Price online configurator for the 2018 Mustang, which lets you work through all the possible options available for the forthcoming EcoBoost, Mustang GT, and Shelby GT350, which will arrive on dealer lots this fall. We had some fun building our dream 2018 ’Stang, and so can you.
While it is definitely a blast to click every possible option to see how loaded you can get the car, the end result might be something that you’ll never be able to afford. Once you do that, you can always go back and exercise more discipline. The EcoBoost Fastback starts at a reasonable $25,585 before you add any options, while the Mustang GT Premium starts the tally at $39,095. Of course, the largely unchanged, top-dog Shelby GT350 starts at $57,195.
As you might expect from the crew here at FordNXT, we all gravitated toward a new Mustang GT sporting that 460-horsepower, dual-fuel Coyote. Only one of us elected for the six-speed manual, while our color choices ranged from Ingot Silver to Lightning Blue to Magnetic. In the end, the sticker prices were all near or above $50,000 with payments hovering around the $800-per-month range.
Of course, only one of us is actually ordering one of these beauties (try to guess which one) and taking on that payment, while the rest of us are just dreaming. You too can live the dream now by building yours on the site right here.
