Fords Gather In North Carolina To Raise Money For Children

The only thing better than getting a bunch of Ford gearheads together with their cars and trucks is gathering them to raise money for a great cause. Thanks to the folks at Jacky Jones Ford in Hayesville, North Carolina, enthusiasts were given just that opportunity.

Unless you were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the gauges on the A-Pillar at the stoplight, you would probably be in for a rude awakening when the light turned green against this seemingly harmless convertible. The first glance at this badge-less black beauty and you would assume its probably a V6? Wrong! Not only is packing a Coyote, but one with a Whipple sitting on top. We could definitely have a lot of fun with this ’vert!

Along with the help of Ford’s Drive 4 Ur Community program, by which Ford donates $20 for every new-car test drive that is taken, the dealer was able to raise funds for the nearby Truett Children’s Home, which helps displaced children in need.

Looking for an extremely low-mileage Fox Mustang? Here it is. According to the sign, the car only has only 4,000 miles on it. Based on today’s auction prices, that makes $12,000 dollars a good buy. We would, of course, want to verify the mileage and do a little fact-checking before we started peeling off the Benjamin Franklins, however.

While the event was open to all makes and models, we were there for the Fords, of course. With dealership owner Jacky Jones being a well-known and avid Ford collector of vintage, we were expecting some cool Blue Oval machines to show up and they certainly did.

Are these mid-’90s Ford trucks the wave of future builds to come? We have seen more and more of these in original condition pop up on the market and at shows lately. Their popularity level certainly seems to be growing. One thing is for sure, John and Michelle Fusco’s white and blue 1995 pickup is a great example of a clean stocker.
