Project Boss 429 Is Complete

After all said and done, I have over 2300 hours and $80+ thousand dollars in receipts.  A true labor of love….. But it has to be sold… (some life changing events happened and will sell at a great lost).  A car like this, BOSS 9 Restomod sold for over $120k at action.

You’ll note the hood scoop change.  It can’t be any smaller…. view previous thread for that discussion.  This hood scoop is a BOSS 429 reproduction, i.e, same as the original BOSS 9 scoop.

On the 3″ ss exhaust, I installed 4″ tips

I had fabricated the cross bars and used ss angle iron, drilled tapped into metal support structure on inter fender I added to tie everything together.  The large ridge along the top of the firewall is 1.5″ angle iron welded to the factory sheet-metal seam.  My body guy did a great job “hiding” it.

The picture above and below you can see the reflections that demonstrate a very slick/straight paint job.

Everyone, thanks for the feedback and comments along the way.  This completes the project….. I have many ahead of me.  You can also contact me through my web site, www.classicrestomods.com  or private msg through this site.  The BOSS 529 will sell for a very good price and I’m happy to discuss with anyone via email and /or phone call.  If you’re ever in the Biloxi, MS area…. look me up.  I have thousands of pictures of the entire build and details of the parts used.  This is a true BOSS 529 restomod, every nut  and  bolt new!

It’s been a blast and thanks again,  Mark
