2015 Mustang Options And Some Pricing Revealed Including SVT Model

By the end of summer the 2015 Mustang will be on the roads, and in the hands of new owners who no doubt lined up in droves and probably will have paid hefty premiums to get one. There has been a great deal of speculation about options, features and pricing on the 2015 Mustang. While Ford has recently shown us the burnout line-lock feature, and the special edition 50th Anniversary model, they’ve yet to reveal their full hand.

Once again Mustang6g has stepped up to help shed light on the 2015, with a member who appears to work for a Ford dealer posting photos of the options ordering screens from the Ford dealer system. While we can’t include every photo here, it’s interesting to make a few observations of what we’ve noticed. You can then go over to the Mustang6g web-site and take a look at the rest for yourself.

The photos confirm that there will be a Shelby or SVT model, this ordering system, which shows that model’s body code as P8J. The limited 50th anniversary models also get their own body code of P8R, base V6 models are P8A, EcoBoost is P8T, and the GT is a P8C.

In looking through the options we notice a performance package appears to be available for all models. There will apparently be three choices of rear differential gears for GTs, 3.15, 3.55, and 3.73. It looks like V6 models can also get 3.55 gears as well. Nothing was shown in terms of gearing options for the EcoBoost model, so we’ll have to wait to see what Ford says later.

Apparently there will also be a 50th anniversary appearance option available for all models. This won’t include the special interior, dash plaque or documentation of the official 50th models. We would surmise though that this could at least include the same faux rear gas cap cover, possibly the grille, and maybe the wheels. Once again we’ll have to see.

The other news out of this is that Ford has not revealed what will power the SVT/Shelby model. There’s no listing of gearing options either, primarily the options there look to be track pack, smokers package, seat materials, and tech.

Ford has yet to determine when press will get access to 2015 models for evaluation. Until t hen keep checking here for updates and head over to Mustang6g for all the screen shots.
