Well, you knew there had to be at least one of these out there in Mustang land. Most ’03-’04 Cobras have been modified and raced, and modified some more. Thankfully, many are still in great shape, and the cars have held their value, much to the chagrin of every Mustang fan who wants one. Even a decent one will set you back over $15,000, and a nice one is still over $20k, but this one we found on eBay presents you an opportunity to own a new 2003 10th Anniversary Cobra.

One aspect that differentiates the 10th Anniversary from normal Cobras is the red inserts in the seats and door panels. Of course, this one still has the plastic on the seats.

Codenamed Terminator by SVT management, the 2003 10th Anniversary model is of course in recognition of the 1993 SVT Cobra. The 10th Anniversary Cobra received specific split seven spoke argent wheels, red door panel inserts, red leather seat inserts, red calipers, and specific badging on the decklid and floor mats. There were 2,003 10th Anniversary Cobras built; 1,003 coupes, and 1,000 convertibles. They were only available in black, Torch red, and silver.

This particular “new” 2003 10th Anniversary Cobra has just 5 miles on it. The ad says it has never been driven, but the car has 5 miles on it, so we’re not sure how that happens if it’s never been driven. Anyway, we think it still qualifies as “new,” even with 5 miles on it. It appears to have never been dealer-prepped. Meaning, all the stickers are still on the car, as is the plastic on the seats. The ad says a new battery was just installed and the engine starts up very easily. Well, it should for basically being a new car. “I have had tons of interest on this vehicle,” the listing person says. That is probably an understatement.

However, with a “Buy it now” of $54,900, that is pretty steep for a car that no one is going to want to drive. Plus, when new, these cars had an MSRP of around $35,000. Alas, we’re sure there were plenty of people who paid close to $54,000 for their new 2003 Cobra given high dealer markups, etc. And since they don’t build new 2003 Cobras anymore, this is as close as you might ever get to owning a “new one” if you missed your chance the first time around.

With just 5.5 miles on it, this Cobra could be the lowest mileage Cobra in existence. Does anyone know of a lower mileage example? Let us know.
