Over the last couple of years, we’ve noticed that Fox-Body Mustang prices are on the rise, as the cars in clean condition are becoming harder and harder to find. Well, if you’re a Cobra aficionado, we may have found just the car for you. Not only is the car super, super clean, it’s also being sold with a whopping 2,445 miles on the odometer.
Apparently the owner has come up against some tough financial circumstances (who hasn’t?) and is being forced to put the car up for sale, even though it was just purchased in December from another seller. There are only a few tasteful mods performed to the car including a set of shocks and struts, a new radio, and a set of Flowmaster mufflers – because what Fox would be complete without a set of Flows hanging underneath? As an extra added attraction, it’s being sold with an extra set of Cobra wheels that have been widened an inch to fit a larger tire.
Locating a Fox Cobra in condition like this is not a task for the weak, and this guy’s done all the work for you – you just have to sign on the dotted line. Are Fox cars worth the asking price? Given that collector cars have been appreciating in value like there’s no tomorrow lately, it’s only natural that these cars are following the trend. Although there were hundreds of thousands of 5.0L-equipped Foxes, there were only 5,100 Cobras produced in 1993 and 1,891 covered in Vibrant Red (including the 107 Cobra R machines), and this is likely one of the cleanest ones you’ll find. We’re sure there are a few hidden away in collections that are not for sale.
From a careful inspection of the photos provided by the seller, the car appears to be 110% – and a killer find for someone with enough money to place the high bid.
