It is the year of the Mustang with Ford’s pony car celebrating 50 years of continuous production, something few other nameplates have or will ever achieve. Celebrations both local and national have taken place nationwide already, and will no doubt continue through the rest of the year as fans and shows take part in the birthday celebration.

Goodguys is of course getting in on the action as well, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the legendary nameplate at this weekend’s 21st Goodguys Summer Get-Together in Pleasanton, CA. The event will have a special Mustangs only display area, with no less than a significant 50 Mustangs on display inside the Young California building.

Aside from the thousands of cool cars, trucks, and hot rods that will be on display, hundreds of Mustangs are expected to flock to this event for this once in a lifetime anniversary. Expect to see Mustangs from every decade, generation, and of every flavor in attendance. With 50 years of history there should be something for every Mustang fan on display at the Summer Get-Together.

On Sunday, one special Mustang will be selected as the top Mustang of the weekend, a special award for only one car.
