When you’re in the market for a race car it’s always a nice bonus to hear that the car is well sorted, has seen some recent competition, and perhaps most importantly, is competitive in its class. Well it’s safe to assume that prospective buyers can check all those boxes when they come across Jack Roush Jr’s Pirelli World Challenge and Grand Am series-running Mustang Boss 302S, which took the top spot at Lime Rock in the Grand Am series in 2013 and pole position at Long Beach in 2014 in PWC among other successful outings along the way.

Said to have upgrades invested into it that exceed $300,000, this Boss 302S is powered by a Roush Yates-prepared Ford 5.0 motor with a dry sump oil system. It breathes through a specially tuned Kooks exhaust system and routes the power through a Ford Racing M-7003-BOSSR1 Tremec racing gearbox with a race-spec clutch, which then sends the grunt back to a Truetrac differential. The ABS system is sourced from Bosch, while a PFC braking system handles the stopping duties. The car rides on light weight forged wheels wrapped in Pirelli slicks.

Of course the bodywork is tweaked for track duty as well, with burly front splitter and PWC-spec rear wing, while the gutted interior features the requisite roll cage, fire suppression system and a MoTeC racing data acquisition system.

But perhaps most important of all is the fact that the tuning and refinement for this race car has been done by the Roush team rather than in some random guy’s garage, essentially guaranteeing this car is about as well sorted as you could hope for. See it here on eBay.
