It’s not everyday that we can show you a unique opportunity to own a one of a kind Mustang. Today however, is one of those days. A few months back we brought you the details on Kenny Brown’s personal GT4-RS Mustang, aka Ruby. Ruby served as both Brown’s personal track day car, and the company test-bed for new product development. Brown says though that the time has come to let Ruby go to a new home so he can make room for the company’s 2014 Mustang project.
Ruby is a premium GT4-RS, with only the best options and parts going into the car. Like all GT4-RS Mustangs Ruby features the full Kenny Brown Performance AGS 4.0 suspension system with custom dampers and spring rates. This car is setup to turn with the best, and the AGS 4.0 system eliminates all the issues common to late model Mustang handling.
Ruby has also been upgraded to a Ford Racing BOSS 302 engine. A Teremec T-56 Magnum XL sits were the stock MT-80 used to reside. Kenny Brown Performance specific Baer Brakes handle the stopping duties, and the wheels are custom models from Forgeline, shod in Pirelli rubber.
Inside, the cockpit is all business, with full safety gear including KB club sport roll bar, OMP seats, a HANS device setup, and of course safety harnesses.
While Kenny Brown Performance can build any customer a GT4-RS of their own to match Ruby’s performance, this is a chance as well to own a special car, that has starred in numerous magazines, and been handled by the master himself. Of course Brown is taking serious inquiries only, and we suspect you’ll need some fairly deep pockets if you’re looking to own Ruby. For the money you’d be hard pressed to find a car that is this sorted, or capable on the track, and has such a relatively low cost to maintain when compared with other cars of similar capability, let alone the pedigree of having been Brown’s personal car. That makes Ruby one of the great bargains on the market right now.
