Sure, most people don’t think fender covers are that cool, but we beg to differ when it comes to this 2015 Ford Mustang fender cover from Ford Racing, as seen at the 2014 SEMA show. Normally a fender cover looks like a big flappy square or rectangle draping over the side of a vehicle, but this particular cover uses the same production design as the fender guards straight from Flat Rock’s assembly line. These molded, form-fitted designed covers were made to keep the paint perfect as the car moves on down the line.
These padded foam covers are needed to fit many body panels and to add the final touches, and workers with tools, belt buckles, jean buttons, and whatever else, are good at scratching up a perfect paint job.

If you care about your new S550 Mustang and like to install parts yourself, one of these bad boys may come in handy when tinkering around in the garage. No fixing the falling flap since this cover is molded perfectly against the entire fender.

These Ford Racing fender covers are sold in pairs and will cost $325 for the set, which is expensive in the fender cover world, but they are worth the cost if you don’t want to keep adjusting that old floppy cover after the millionth time it decides to fall to the floor.
