For fans of classic Mustangs looking for a more modern driving experience, Revology Cars offers a full line of officially licensed replicas ranging from Mustang GTs to Shelby GT500s. The company has created these vehicles for several years now, and it continues to refine the process and the vehicles. For its 2019 model year, Revology is offering the potent Gen 3 Coyote 5.0-liter engine and several other new features to further enhance its lineup.
We’ve increased the performance of our vehicles but at the same time improved comfort, drivability and the overall refinement. — Tom Scarpello, Revology Cars
“The 2019 model year Revology Mustangs and Shelby GTs are better than ever,” Revology Founder and CEO, Tom Scarpello said. “Since we started this company almost five years ago, we have worked continuously to improve and refine our products. The result is a remarkable blend of performance, reliability, drivability, comfort and safety.”
The addition of the new dual-fuel 5.0-liter engine instantly adds another 25 horsepower and 20 lb-ft of torque under the hood versus the previous Gen 2 powerplant. Moving to the latest Ford Performance crate engine for more power isn’t the only upgrade, however.
Besides the more powerful engine, the latest Revology rides are ditching larger 9-inch rearends in favor of the more compact, quieter 8.8-inch rear. Standard rears will spin 31-spline axles and Eaton TrueTrac differentials, while boosted cars will receive 33-spline axles, finned diff covers, and diff coolers to enhance durability.
“The 8.8 has more than enough strength for all of our applications plus the quietness and smoothness of a modern ring and pinion,” Aaron Wright, Revology’s Chief Engineer, said. “It is a huge improvement.”
