Back in July of this year, a young man by the name of Dylan Darland based out of Glendale, Arizona, was critically injured in a boating accident during a vacation at Lake Powell. At just seven years old, Dylan was horrifically thrown from the boat after it had hit an obstruction in the lake. Upon his exit, the boat’s propeller struck Dylan; injuring his jaw, right arm and lower right leg.
Unfortunately, Dylan’s family was left to cover the medical expenses from the accident. But when Glendale, Arizona-based Ford dealership Sanderson Ford got word of the family in need, these fine folks stepped-up to the plate in an effort to help. Sanderson Ford, along with its 501(c)(3) non-profit organization Sanderson Museum & Village, have made plans to raffle off a brand new 2016 ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang – with all of the proceeds earned being donated to Dylan’s family of course.
“We hope the funds raised through the raffle of the ROUSH Mustang will help him get the medical care he needs and enable him to live a fulfilling, active lifestyle despite his medical setbacks,” said David Kimmerle, owner of Sanderson Ford to azcentral in its original statement.
The proceeds donated will enable Dylan to receive additional medical care, and receive prosthetics, therapy and rehabilitation. The raffle tickets can be purchased from now up until Sunday, November 13th, on their website here – as well as at any local “Dylan’s Race for Recovery” event.
