SCT Performance announced its continued partnership for the 2019 season with Americas Rallycross driver Steve Arpin of Loenbro Motorsports and Formula Drift driver Vaughn Gitten Jr. of RTR Motorsports.
This year, SCT branding will appear on Arpin’s #00 Ford Fiesta ST throughout the 2019 Americas Rallycross (ARX) season. ARX rules limit the use of these advancements during race events, but the Loenbro Motorsports team can use SCT’s products in test sessions to development precise settings for events. Further, the team uses SCT products in a number of their tow vehicles, which allows the team to experience new levels of performance between races as well.
“The performance enhancements we can achieve with SCT are phenomenal,” said Arpin. He added that he uses SCT products in his personal Ford Explorer to the team’s Ford F-350 and Peterbilt semi truck.
SCT has also continued its relationship with Formula Drift driver Vaughn Gittin Jr. with his Ford Mustang RTR and his Fun-Haver Ford F-150 truck.
“I’ve been running SCT Performance tuners on my personal vehicles and all of our special project vehicles that maintain the factory ECU since 2007,” Gittin Jr. said. He added, “the reliability, tunability and power increases have been flawless!”
According to Jill Hepp, SCT Marketing Director, modifying a vehicle with aftermarket parts is only part of the process. Tuning is necessary to bring it all together to get the best performance from your car.
“Our tuning products allow users to customize their vehicles to their needs,” Hepp said. She added that both the Loenbro and RTR teams can calibrate their vehicles for higher power and efficiency.
Each of these partnerships allows SCT to showcase its tuning products to Americas Rally Cross and Formula Drift audiences, providing them “an exciting extension to those beyond the drag strips and road course” audience that SCT has established.
“We are excited to share that with even more enthusiasts throughout the 2019 season,” Hepp said.
