Exhaust is always a hot modification for Mustang owners, and even Ford Racing Performance Parts offers a variety of exhaust components for the Mustang. Since these components are typically a direct fit, and well engineered, they remain a popular option for many enthusiasts who want to bolt on a system themselves.

Downs Ford Motorsport has several FRPP exhaust systems currently on sale or clearance to accommodate nearly every year of S197 Mustang production, as well as a variety of exhaust note tastes. We recently took a few minutes to browse the clearance section of their web site to see what was currently on sale.

For 2005-2009 owners, there’s the GT500S kit, which fits both the Mustang GT and the GT500. This system is made from 409 stainless steel and is the same axle back system used for homologation of the FR500S race car. Suggested retail price is $599, but Downs is currently offering this system, part number M-5230S, for $535 while the sale lasts.

Owners of Coyote powered 2011-13 Mustang GT’s might like the FRPP Sport Muffler Kit, part number M-5230-MGTLA. This axle-back system features a louder exhaust note, with a throatier tone. It’s constructed from T-304 stainless steel and is designed to eliminate droning noise at sustained RPM. It’s also 49 state legal. This system normally retails for $774.95, but is currently showing on clearance for $630 while they last.

If you own a 2010 V6 Mustang and are looking to add dual exhaust, plus want some more sound and flow, then part number M-5230-MV62 could be for you. This system includes a new X-pipe as well as new over-axle pipes, and FR500S mufflers with 3.5-inch polished tips. This system also includes a new rear bumper cover with the proper cut outs for that dual exhaust. This entire package normally retails for $995 but is currently on clearance for $775 while the sale lasts. There is however an oversized truck freight charge that applies to this package.
