Most Mustang fans would love to have a Shelby GT350 or at least a set of its signature wheels. There are even some nice replicas on the market these days, but some thieves apparently needed a set of real-deal Shelby wheels, so they stole them right off a new GT350 on the Johnson Ford lot in Atmore, Alabama.
“They were taken 1/14/17 between 10:00 p.m. and 2:45 a.m. The car was sitting on the lot, right beside Highway 21,” the dealer said on social media. “Surely someone knows something! These people need to go to jail!”
On that night, the crooks jacked up the new GT350, removed the factory wheels and left it hanging unceremoniously stacked on piles of landscaping pavers. If there was any silver lining, it’s that this was a standard GT350, not an R-model. So at least the thieves didn’t get away with a set of those rarified carbon-fiber hoops.
The dealer is offering a reward of $1,500 to anyone that can help catch the criminals. You can call the Atmore Police Department at (251) 368-9141 or the dealer at (251) 368-2135 if you have any information on the stolen wheels.
