We’re always on the lookout for the latest way to get a new Mustang for next to nothing. That includes a lot of raffles, crazy contests, and free give-aways. The latest of these will cost you nothing and comes from Alamo and Southwest Airlines in the form of their Top Down, Wheels Up contest.

This contest will award one grand prize winner a brand new 2014 Mustang convertible. Although not a GT, the V6 is no slouch, and we’ve seen more than a few that were impressive performers. If you’re looking for a car to have some fun in the sun with, a convertible Mustang is the perfect choice.

Of course if you’d rather have cash, Alamo says you can take $20,000 in lieu of the new Mustang. We’d struggle with that one, $20k buys a lot of cool parts for our current project car fleet. Then again a new Mustang V6 for a daily driver wouldn’t be a bad thing either.

Other prizes in the contest would make us pretty happy too. A first prize winner will get two roundtrip plane tickets on Southwest airlines plus 7-days car rental from Alamo. A second place winner will get a free 7-day car rental. So even if you’re only lucky enough to win one of the other two prizes, you can still get away for a week to somewhere nice.

Complete contest rules are available from Alamo on the prize site. You can enter as often as once a day, which might increase your odds. We know we’ll be clicking away each morning in hopes of netting one of these prizes. The contest runs through November 15, 2013.
