Believe it or not, Ford seems to be considering building and selling a street-legal version of its EcoBoost-powered Formula Ford racer. Just between 20 and 40 of these Nurburgring-blitzers will be built, and they won't be cheap.

No replacement for displacement you say? This one-liter, three-cylinder Ford EcoBoost engine just demolished the North Loop of the Nurburgring, beating out cars built by the likes of Ferrari and Lamborghini using a much-smaller engine. Video inside!
