The Shelby Super Snake is known for its fearsome looks, absurd acceleration, and tremendous horsepower numbers. The 850 horsepower figure is the order of the day with 2013 rendition of the Super Snake, and Shelby put a lot of work into massaging the suspension and engine so that taming all that horsepower wouldn’t require years of extensive training. But one area it could be argued that Shelby overlooked was the interior, which is where Bulgaria’s Vilner steps in.
Internationally celebrated for their high class and high quality custom interiors, Vilner is celebrating its 20th anniversary in business by making over the interior of a 2013 Super Snake and taking it to a level rarely seen in a Mustang.
The Super Snake, number 57 of 500, came to Vilner via Romania just in time for Vilner’s two decade celebration. Vilner went to work on everything except the silver dashboard panel, interior door handles, the original Shelby number plate, and shifter knob. Vilner decorated the interior with beige leather, black Alcantara, and glossy lacquered carbon fiber.
Vilner even wrapped Alcantara around the steering column, transmission tunnel, as well as the door panels and seats, which were embroidered with “Shelby GT500 Super Snake” and carbon fiber frames for the seatbelt holes. The famous Shelby cobra logo has been stitched in red, as have the belts, seat stripes, contrast stitching, and the steering wheel’s center hub.
In an effort to quiet down the sound of the supercharged 5.8-liter V8, Vilner has made an installed extensive sound deadening throughout the Super Snake. Finally, Vilner added its trademark feature, a pair of special duffel bags matching the car’s interior, one for the owner and a second for his or her spouse. Made from beige leather, red “Super Snake” embroidery, and carbon fiber buckles, the bags match the Mustang in all the right ways.
