  1. Your over MSRP is crazy that is why you don’t see any on the road I hope Chrysler doesn’t do this with their new Challengers. God bless Mopar

  2. I have never heard so much whining about the price of a limited edition car ever. Money and penis envy is not very appealing. Most all of us waiting for our new KR have earned the cash to buy one. I dont see any such gripe on the Ferarri or Lambo pages. Mr. SHELBY is turning or just turned 85 years young. He has done more for muscle cars in the last 50 years than anyone. Hope he is here to make a Golden edition Shelby. Suck it up guys. I may have a 2008 Shelby KR, but going to have buckle down to own a Learjet.

  3. I think is a great idea that ford has stepped up and made a super car but I would buy the gt40 instead. It’s a true super car. Now make a more of these cars so us little guys without the deep pockets can buy one.

  4. I just heard a story about the ridiculous markups down south, where 1 dealer wants 40k over sticker, another wants 25k, blah blah blah.

I think Carroll Shelby needs to accept applications from those who want to own one of these masterpieces, at the price Ford stickered them for; not that I’m a european car fan, but look at what Ferrari does for the guys that want the Enzo. THIS will remind Mr. Shelby of the people he truly built these cars, not put the cars into a “who bids the highest” competition.

  5. What about the price? A car that can bury a Viper or keep up to a Z-06 is worth its wait in Ford Gold. Especially when it’s 20 percent less than either competitor. Keep ‘em comin’ Shelby, keep
‘em comin’! When it comes to muscle - you can cover it up with what ever shirt you want but it’s what’s under the shirt that counts. GO SHELBY - GO FORD!!

  6. if you want to buy a brand new shelby 500 contact Bellisario at (818) 980-9800

  7. I accept all info on the KR-500

  8. I agree with the dealer sticking it to us. Ford makes a great product, stickers it at something that appears reasonable for what you get, then the greedy dealers do their number act on it. If Ford goes down, I’ll miss them. But when the greedy dealers start closing their doors, I’ll be cheering.

  9. A year before the 2007 GT500 rolled onto the street, I saw it in Hot Rod magazine. I went straight to the Ford dealership and plopped down my $500.00 deposit.I was #6 on the list.Since I was 16yrs old and I drooled over the original Shelby GT500 and then the 500KR.Throughout my life if anyone asked what my favorite car was, GT 500 was my only answer.I knew now that I was gonna get my own 2007 Shelby Cobra GT 500. OH my God.I waited a year and the came. I got notice of its delivery. I figured i’d get $10,000 for my trade another $25,000 I had saved since the ‘67 Shelby and I”d finance the other $15,000.My own GT500.
When I went to the salesman and he told me the car was going to be minimum $25,000 over MSRP I wanted to cry. Why do you build a car for collectors and not drivers.Caroll Shelby shame on You.500 GT KR who cares. I know I”ll nver own one. Ford Blows

  10. Hi my Mustang friend´s. Im from Sweden and next year I want to buy one. I really love this car. Im sorry, my english in not so good.

  11. OK!!!! Lets get the horse out of the barn an quit giving it hay an oats!!! We have to catch up with Dodge an Camaro. Ford needs to put a 5.4 or bigger in all there gts an get sells up an beef up susoension parts. Lets not leave the Horse behind!!! John Wayne would not do this to his horse. So come on Ford lets do it!!! Before the imports do it an soak us!!! Look at nascar its only the begining of there V-8s!! Come on Ford guys!!!

  12. Awesome car but they killed the rims, if we wanted 20’s on our 90K+ car whe would have called up pimp my ride, other than that the cars pretty cool. But dont ya think they should have spaced this out a little more? I mean hell the GT500 just came out and they already built this…seems to me that Ford is opening all there presents too early and not playing with what they already got. Oh well I love all the mustangs ford ever built and I hope to own a GT500 one of these days!

  13. my story is a bit sad but it has a happy memory for me . i got an old 66 six banger mustang in 1993 . drove it around for two years then sold it in 1995 so we could buy a 95 gt . we got it on my wifes birth day . i couldnt keep her butt out of that seat . we paid it off and talked about getting another one . we saw the new designes comeing out and loved what we saw . so we waited . in the mean while i went out and bought a 2003 svt focus . i couldnt figure out which one i liked to drive more . well we finaly decided that the we would get the 2007 gt . then we saw some more pictures of the gt500 and we loved it . thought it was great maybe we could get one . but life took a turn for the worse . i was in a accident .i was left a quad . my car slid off the road and i broke my neck so thats ended my driving and my wife died of cancer . all our dreams went up in smoke . the thing is we loved the cars and her wish was that our daughter was to the 95gt when she graduates collage .i hope i didnt drag u down to much .but we do love the cars.

  14. Nice car, but like the current Shelby, here is another specialty car for dealers to “stick it to the working man”. I love all things Ford, but I have little pity for their financial dire straits when they allow such inflated prices on cars that keeps them out of the hands of the people for whom they are designed.

  15. I actually saw it last Saturday at the Auto Show and I have to say, Ford needs to hire some better people to talk about it. They only went into detail into the looks aspect but only said that the power/drivetrain along w/ the suspension was upgraded (and went no further in depth then that). The consumer wants to know what it’s packing, and not the wheel diameter and who makes it. Great car, but already they screwed up advertising. Not only that, the one at the show is just that, a show car. The actually production version will be much different according to the guy talking about it but at least they allowed everyone to sit in the GT500 (yet most of their other cars, trucks, and SUVs were locked while Dodge had every single one of its trucks open to sit in). However, Ford screwed the Shelby GT over since it’s probably cheaper to just buy the FRPP packages and install them yourself (since that’s what the GT is).

  16. Looks great; however, what I don’t get, is that while Ford is in financial trouble and there are plenty of boomers and others that would love to have this, or the regular GT 500, their production is limited to basically 20 per State (on the KR). By time it is all said and done only those with Ford connections and tons of money will get one. Why waste our time with the fancy promotions and ads. One local dealership in my area is arrogant enough to have a $44000 sticker on their GT500, but look at you like you are a complete moron when you dare to ask how much is it. IT’s really kind of a turn off to Ford and any of its products.

  17. Big deal, with only 1000 units built any one who works for a living need not bother looking because you won’t get one unless you have more money than brains. I’ll spend my money building an engine that Ford is afraid to and kick some real bass. If Ford wanted to give power to the people they would get real and take into account the population. Ford……….. wake up and smell the coffee, your not the only auto manufacturer.

  18. Love the KR..but the collectors will buy them up to flip them later and the dealers will rape the average guy with a high add on price.

  19. Where do i sign? A z06 ass kicker, god bless america

  20. Expect its final stats to be closer 600HP. This has a twin screw unlike the GT500 which has a roots, Which can make the power the KR makes with a few simple bolt ons easily.

I’m happy with my GT500, Leave this one to the guys with more money the brains. The GT500 is a better buy.

  21. Still looking forward to a new Cougar!!!!!!!!

  22. The engine now makes the same power as in the Ford GT. At least the KR is done right w/ suspension mods along w/ the engine (unlike the GT500 which just had the GT engine in it minus the Aluminum block). Now, only if Ford can put a N/A version out as a Mach 1 or BOSS 330 w/ either the 3V, 4V, or Cobra R/GT/GT500 heads then we’ll be cooking. However, I did hear a BOSS 302 is due to come out…

  23. I would be amazed if it went for under $100K My sister’s fiance is a car salesmen for Ford, and he said they had a GT500 go for around $70K This will def be much more.

  24. A cougar would be nice, or the Aussie Falcon for something different. Although I still love mustangs and the KR looks pretty cool. Too bad it will cost a stupid amount of money to buy one. Probably a 60k markup now instead of a 20k.

  25. Personally I wish ford would quit beating a dead horse and come up with something new. Yeah it looks good, but it’s still a mustang with a blower.

  26. Gee, who’d a thunk they woulda brought back the KR name for ‘08? The aluminum block would have really sealed the deal though! The KR has always been my favorite Shelby.
