It’s Mustang Girl Monday brought to you by Team Mustang Girls. This week we are hanging with Belinda Bailey and her 95 GT 5.0.
Belinda fell in love with the ’68 fastback when she was 13. She always dreamed of owning one and painting it purple with pink and white interior. In 1987 she saved up $900 and bought her first Mustang at a car auction. It was a ’72 coupe with a 302. Then in 1995 she got a ’71 coupe and had it painted purple with white stripes. Belinda really loved that car. That’s when she made the decision to always have a Mustang in her life.
Now Belinda drives a ’95 GT 5.0. When she first got the car the bumpers were held on with zip ties. But she fixed it up and had it painted white with pink flames. She may not have gotten the ’68 she dreamed of at the age of 13 but she did get her pink and purple! And just last week she bought a ’65 to restore with her son-in-law. He also has a passion for Mustangs and it’s a good thing because Belinda says the car is in a hundred pieces. We look forward to seeing the car back on the road again!
