Justen Spencer and Twisted Modular Racing have been very successful in their racing efforts out on the West Coast, competing in the PSCA, NMCA West, and Street Car Super Nationals events on a regular basis. In fact, Spencer took home the championship in the NMCA West’s Open Comp class during the 2013 season, beating out a host of other competitors with a win, a runner-up, and two semifinal appearances in four races.
He combined that with the title in the PSCA’s Open Comp class – a solid year of racing by all accounts. He also qualified third at the Street Car Super Nationals with a stout .007 reaction time in the Open Comp class. As a result of his solid performances during the entire year last year, he’s landed sponsorship from the folks at Aerospace Components for the 2014 season.
Aerospace Components is a supplier of numerous racing components from brake kits to shocks to battery mounts, vacuum pumps, and dragster shocks and struts. For over 26 years, the family-owned-and-operated company has been producing parts in their 35,000 square-foot facility in the Tampa Bay area. The company’s roots trace to government contract work and they are in fact a military-certified machine shop that needs to meet strict quality-control guidelines to maintain that certification. State of the art CNC machinery is used to produce the company’s line of products, which is inspected prior to sale using that same military-style inspection equipment.
