Chris Alston is a man with a wide range of interests, an active imagination, and a very capable engineering team with every machine tool known to man at their disposal. When he told us a few months back that he was working on a supercharger gear drive, we knew it would be something extraordinary, but we simply weren’t prepared for the actual physical hardware when we saw it in person.
Chris Alston’s Chassisworks’ new gear drives are available in single and dual blower configuration for most Vortech and ProCharger head units, with mounts for small block Ford and Chevy, big block Chevy, and LS engines, with more on the way. The gear drives are driven directly off the balancer/crank snout, and multiple gear ratios are available. Both a crank trigger pickup mount and timing pointer are built in.
