When two big names such as McLeod Racing and Raybestos Powertrain team up to produce some heavy-hitting components, you’re probably going to want to take notice. Manufactured by Raybestos and designed specifically for McLeod Racing, this collaboration yields some of the best automatic transmission components available today. More specifically, the all-new transmission rebuild and clutch-pack kits.

“We’ve been doing this for more than 30-plus years,” Pete Santiago with Raybestos Powertrain said. “We’ve done some collaborations with other suppliers, but nothing on the scale like this. A partnership with McLeod helps with brand awareness, and we know they’ll take the ball and run with it.”

Pete Santiago of Raybestos said that they plan to add more applications as time go by, and that the stage one (red clutch-pack kits) can handle anywhere from 200 to 1,000 hp. Both kits will have an OEM-style shift, but offer much higher performance for street-driven cars.

“Raybestos is a 100-year-old company, and McLeod is a 46-year-old company–and our growth plan is to expand into more markets,” Paul Lee of McLeod Racing told us. “Partnering with Raybestos Powertrain, who’s a big name in automatic transmissions, only made sense for us to partner with them to move forward to where we’re going to go, which is in the automatic transmission business.”

Santiago said that everything necessary to rebuild a transmission, gaskets, fittings and filters wise, is included in the all-new McLeod Racing/Raybestos Powertrain kit.
