Earlier this month, AmericanMuscle.com launched the $7,000 Summertime Mustang Build, giving a Mustang enthusiast a quick and easy way to reignite a ride. In true American Muscle fashion, the company is also giving Ford F-150 owners the same chance at some free upgrades to kick off summer 2017  by winning $7,000 in parts for the top-selling truck.

While you only need to enter once for a chance to win, American Muscle is allowing contestants to enter once a week until the end of August. They are also providing the means to make your dream F-150 build complete, by covering the installation costs at your local shop!

We took some time this week checking out the American Muscle website to pick a sample list of upgrades we would order for an F-150 on a  $7,000 budget. The results just might surprise you (see sidebar). You can really put together a pretty impressive list with this sort of budget.

Sample Summertime F-150 Build

• Ford Performance by Borla Cat-Back Exhaust w/Chrome Tips: $1,197.00

• JLT Cold Air Intake: $299.00

• SkyJacker 4.5 in. Suspension Lift Kit: $1,564.97

• Fuel Wheels Recoil Matte Black 20×9: $1,000.00

• NITTO Trail Grappler Tires: $1,536.00

• Barricade 5 in. Oval Side Step Bars -60 Degree Ends – Black: $224.99

• Barricade Raptor Style Front Bumper: $599.99

• Barricade Raptor Style Upper Replacement Grill w/LED Lighting: $259.99

• Husky X-Act Contour Front Floor Liner: $119.95

• Husky WeatherBeater 2nd Seat Floor Liner: $99.95

Our total Summertime F-150 Build price: $6,901.84For our sample F-150 build, we tried to find a great balance of bolt-on performance, ride height, and vehicle protection. All of these upgrades are available on the AM site, and as you can see, spending $7,000 was harder than it sounds! Our total cost for these upgrades from American Muscle only came out to $6,901.84!

We ended up with an extra $98.16, which after much deliberation, decided to put toward the popular Barricade Extreme HD Rear Bumper as well. Go big or go home, right?

So what would you do with a $7,000 F-150 shopping spree from American Muscle? Would you go all out with a set of upgraded wheels, tires, and a lift kit, or would focus on protection and armor up your truck from bumper to bumper?

The AM F-150 sweepstakes runs now through August 31, 2017, and you can enter right here. There is no purchase necessary, and it’s open to current and future F-150 owners as well. It truly is one of the easiest ways to take your F-150 build to that next level.
