With the 2015 Ford Mustang now out and about on streets everywhere, enthusiasts are ready to know what is in store for the 2016 model. The official ordering book opens on May 11. Thanks to Mustang6G, the brochure has leaked early, and now we know what colors to expect on next year’s pony.
According to the brochure, the 2016 Mustang colors are as follows:
- Shadow Black
- Competition Orange
- Triple Yellow Tri-coat
- Guard
- Deep Impact Blue
- Magnetic
- Race Red
- Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat
- Ingot Silver
- Oxford White
So, what’s changing this time around? Instead of just good old black, we now have Shadow Black as seen on the 2015 Ford Fusion, but other than that, not much has changed from the current model. The new hue, Guard, is making its way back for next year along with a few others. Grabber Blue has been a favorite on models past, so we are sure some enthusiasts will be bummed to see that it still won’t be making it on the 2016 S550 Mustang. The disappointment seems apparent on the Mustang6G thread regarding the new hues.
Other than hues, we know that Ford SYNC III infotainment will be given to the 2016 Mustang model. Also, the 50th anniversary packages will no longer be available, and along with that, we say goodbye to the colors Kona Blue and Wimbledon White. As stated in a previous story, the Shelby GT350 and GT350R will be limited with just 5,000 GT350s and 500 track-prepped GT350R Mustangs to be built.
So far, that’s what we know about the 2016 Mustang model. Stay tuned for more updates as we get them in.
