Competition Air Inlet Upgrade For 2011 5.0L Mustang From Vortech

Vortech Engineering now offers the Competition Air Inlet Upgrade for the 2011 5.0L Mustang GT. This kit is designed to work with Vortech’s 5.0L Mustang Supercharger System; gains of 35 horsepower and 0.6-1.0 psi of boost have been seen during testing.

For those that want the most out of their new 5.0L Mustang Supercharging System, a high-flow cold air intake system can be an easy way to add additional horsepower without any other costly modifications. The new Competition Air Inlet Assembly from Vortech replaces the restrictive factory air box and filter, and allows for a more free-flowing inlet design for maximum performance value for your dollar.

Competition Air Inlet Upgrade includes roto-molded open airbox, rubber hood seal, large cone-style air filter, bellmouth-entry filter adapter, silicone coupler, instructions, and all required mounting hardware. It replaces the OEM air filter cover, filter, and base, and mates to the OEM body-mounted cold air snorkel.

When compared to the OEM airbox, gains of approximately 0.6-1.0 psig in peak boost, and up to 35 additional horsepower can be anticipated when mated to a 100% completely stock vehicle utilizing the standard Vortech pulley ratio. Greater gains can be realized on applications with a more aggressive pulley ratio and/or engine modifications.
