It’s an oft-repeated trope that fatherhood forever changes a man’s priorities, and part of that parental sacrifice comes in the form of watching kids movies…over and over and over again. Some parents get stuck watching Frozen’s “Let It Go” in an infinite loop. Conversely, Yo Gabba Gabba has been known to throw down some radical rhymes (check out “I Like Bugs”…seriously).
For Brent Wilnek’s son, his movie franchise of choice was Disney’s Cars, a cartoon that’s been something of a godsend for automotive-minded parents everywhere. Brent’s son was such an obsessive fan that the single-father decided to go the extra mile, getting his Race Red 2015 Ford Mustang covered in decals to make it a real-world rendition of the star of Car’s, Lightning McQueen, reports Yahoo.
With his son watching Cars 2 as frequently as three times and a day, the project was a no-brainer for the duo. Brent and his son undertook the project together, looking at other similar projects from the around the world to get inspiration. From there it was a simple matter of calling around local shops to find somebody willing to help him take Lightning McQueen into the real world, and the Wilnek’s found help at Tennessee Tint in Bartlet.

Now wearing McQueen’s 95, along with all the fictional sponsor decals from the world of Cars, Brent’s 2015 Mustang looks like it drove from the silver screen into his driveway. Having opted for a premium 3M wrap, the decals will be easy to remove down the line, if Brent decides it’s time to trade in for a newer model, or his son finds a new favorite movie.
Like, say, Cars 3?
