With the next Bullitt Mustang becoming the worst kept secret in the auto industry, it is looking like you will soon be able to buy one. The car won’t be appearing immediately on dealer lots after its expected debut in Detroit in the coming days. Instead, it appears that Ford will auction the first example for charity at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona later this month.
Lending credence to this is the mysterious lot number 3006, which features few details, but does include shadowed image of what appears to be a classic Mustang Bullitt. The item description makes it clear that this is no classic vehicle that is hitting he auction block, however.
“Ford Motor Company will auction a special new Ford Mustang to be sold with 100 percent of the hammer price benefiting Boys Republic,” says the description.
Now, if you are thinking that this item could be any new car, let’s take into consideration that the annual Steve McQueen Car Show often celebrates the Bullitt Mustangs and supports the Boys Republic charity with its event.
So, if you want to have the first S550 Bullitt in your garage, you won’t have to wait long. The auction will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2018. For more information, you can check out the listing for yourself right here.
