Henry Ford pioneered assembly line production, bringing the Model T and the Ford name to millions of American households. Decades later, the Blue Oval continues to carry on Henry’s work, though this time the technology they’re marketing to the common consumer are turbochargers. The EcoBoost line of engines is Ford’s answer to growing concern over fuel economy and emissions.
But not everybody has heard the word about turbocharging. This has compelled Ford to launch a campaign called the EcoBoost Challenge to ensure Americans across the country know what EcoBoost is all about.
With a dozen cities in its sights, the EcoBoost Challenge gives potential customers a chance to get behind the wheel of some of Ford’s hottest vehicles. This includes two EcoBoost-powered hot hatchbacks, the Focus ST and Fiesta ST. Other vehicles on hand will be the Ford Fusion, Escape, and F-150.
Customers will compete in timed laps and closed-course competitions in both Ford products, and vehicles made by competitors in order to give customers a back-to-back preview. More than 28,000 people participated in last year’s EcoBoost Challenge, and Ford is hoping to get even more customers behind the wheel this year. A free ride in a Focus ST? Sign us up!
