Modern cars rely on high-tech computer systems to control virtually every aspect of engine operation, as well as much of the car’s actual operation. In the past dyno tuning had been only for the high end racers, looking to maximize their lap times, or quarter mile elapsed time performances. Today, virtually any modern performance car with bolt-on aftermarket parts can benefit from a custom tune, and in many cases at least some form of tuning is necessary for proper performance after parts are installed.
Granatelli Motorsports is opening up their in house dyno services to customers, something rarely done by a performance parts manufacturer. GMS is offering everything from the standard three pulls on two-wheel or all-wheel drive vehicles, to full on tuning, and even professional installation services. The GMS staff, using their years of experience in tuning a wide variety of platforms has the knowledge and ability to masterfully tune virtually any aftermarket fuel injection system, or carburetor.
Their familiarity with multiple platforms also comes in handy in the installation department, where they can install a variety of bolt-on parts, and then maximize the vehicle’s performance by dyno tuning it to run at it’s peak potential, safely, on pump gas.
Rates vary based on your vehicle, the fuel injection system, or carburetor, and specifically what is being done.
