We all buy our Mustangs for various reasons. Some are drawn to style, some because it fits their lifestyle, and others for sheer performance. Over the past several years finding out just how fast your Mustang can go has become a popular idea. Legal and relatively safe formats have sprung up around the USA.
Sheerly out of curiosity, Coyote Stock racer, Hi Po Joe Charles, was planning to take his Coyote Stock machine to Ocala, Florida for the WannaGoFast, half-mile event this coming weekend. Charles discovered an issue during a recent test session that is preventing him from taking his race car. However, that didn’t stop him from grabbing the keys to his wife’s brand new 2015 Mustang GT Performance Pack. What makes this particularly interesting is that as far as we know, no one has done any 2015 Mustang Top Speed Testing
The Deep Impact Blue ’15 GT is headed to Ocala, after a stop at MGW for a shifter install. Charles will run the car in stock trim to get a baseline. He’s then planning to tune the car with help from a DiabloSport InTune. Another pass will be made. The next pass will be with the addition of a JLT Cold Air Intake system, and the DiabloSport tune will be updated to take full advantage of the new CAI. Last, a Ford Performance Sport Cat-Back exhaust system will be installed before making the final runs of the day.
Our pals over at Mod Motor Mustangs are hosting a contest to give away a DiabloSport InTune to the person who correctly guesses (or gets closest to) the MPH that Charles’ 2015 runs at the event. That’s right, one lucky person is going to win a DiabloSport InTune. Contestants need to like the Mod Motor Mustangs Facebook page, and the HiPo Joe Charles Facebook page as well. At the MMM Page there’s a post for the contest at the top, your guess must be entered there to count.
The DiablSport InTune can tune a wide variety of vehicles. The touchscreen controls, and ability to utilize custom tunes make it a versatile tuner that can grow with your project whether you’re looking for just a quick boost in performance, or planning some major upgrades in the future, the InTune can keep up with your project. The MSRP on this tuner is $389, but it can be yours for free if you guess HiPo Joe’s top speed.
