It’s hard to believe that it has been almost a year since we got the first official glimpse of the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang. The S550 is making its presence known, especially now with aftermarket renderings flooding the web of what to expect out of an performance industry. We’ve seen ROUSH and Saleen dish out their very own versions of the new S550 Mustang, and now Hennessey is stepping up the game with their brand new HPE700 kit.
Their HPE700 kit gives the new Mustang a boost with a roots-style supercharger, stainless steel exhaust, an upgraded fuel system, new throttle body, and of course, a dyno tune to tie all of that power together. To add to aerodynamics, CarbonAero carbon fiber bodywork graces the exterior such as side sills, a rear diffuser, front splitter, and rear lip. Also gracing the exterior are lightweight Hennessey H10 wheels wrapped with Michelin Pilot Super Sport 2 rubber.

Now, let’s get to the good stuff – power. With production Mustangs becoming more and more powerful out of Ford’s pearly gates, Hennessey decided to boost it up a few more notches with the Roots supercharger. Hennessey’s kit on the new Mustang is said to generate 717 hp and 632 ft-lbs of torque. It will run the quarter-mile in 11.2 seconds at 131 miles per hour and go from 0-60 mph in about 3.6 seconds.
The cars will be built in limited production of just 500 units, starting prices will be $59,500, although that goes up with options. Hennessey is also working on a hot EcoBoost variant of the Mustang, no word yet on what kind of performance we’ll see out of that car.
With the new Mustang still getting a lot of flack from folks who think FoMoCo dropped the ball, they may be swayed when they see this aftermarket versions of Ford’s factory beast.
We can say that we love the look of the new Hennessey Mustang, and we can’t wait to see one out and about!
