Ford launched the F-150 SVT Raptor originally with its proven 320hp, 5.4-liter Triton V8. The optional, all-new 6.2-liter premium V8 engine was announced last year and became available to order last December. As if the 6.2-liter V8 engine in the latest SVT truck wasn’t enough, Hennessey Performance Engineering has gone and thrown a couple of turbochargers into the action.

Specifically, the output for this setup is quoted as 605 bhp @ 5,100 rpm and 622 lb. ft. torque @ 3,300 rpm. Their twin turbo system for the SVT Raptor includes a pair of ball bearing turbos, dual front-mounted air to air intercoolers, dual 44mm wastegates and dual blow-off valves. Distinctive Hennessey badging and other visual features set the HPE VelociRaptor apart from the rest.

Additional upgrades are provided for the fuel system and injectors, along with an electronic boost controller and updated tune for the engine. The quality of design and installation are plainly evident in the engine start up video below.
