The NMCA Flowmaster Drag Racing Series season is only a quarter of the way complete, but already, reigning 275 Drag Radial champ Jason Lee and last year’s Xtreme Street championship runner-up Bob Kurgan are off to exceptional starts – so much so that their respective sponsors have stepped to the table and put their money on the line by placing a pair of bounties on the small tire standouts at the upcoming June 8-10 event at the Maryland International Raceway.
The hilarious flyer, complete with bobblehead likenesses of the two racers, pretty well tells the story.
ProCharger has placed a bounty of Jason “Forehead” Lee and his dominant Mustang in the Drag Radial category, and if anyone can take him down in eliminations in Maryland, the supercharger manufacturer will pay their entry fee for the remainder of the season. Likewise in Xtreme Street, Vortech Superchargers will pick up the entry fee for remainder of the season for any racer that can knock off the “Flyin’ Hawaiian”.
Lee remains undefeated on the season and reset the national record on the NMRA side two weeks ago at 7.36, and Kurgan is currently leading the points standings with a win at the most recent event in Commerce, so these two will certainly will be hard to knock off when the tour rolls into Budds Creek in a couple of weeks.
