ProCharger has been in the supercharger game for quite some time now. They’ve been involved with the V6 equipped Mustangs starting with the 3.8 liter V6 which first appeared in the Mustang back in 1994.
As newer generation Mustangs equipped with more powerful V6s have come along in recent years, ProCharger met the demand for more power that enthusiasts crave. And with the recent development of its supercharger kit for the ’15 V6 equipped Mustang, you can expect this kit to transform the way the mundane base Mustang makes power.
According to ProCharger, development for the new S550 V6 chassis began with a completely clean sheet. While the new Mustang uses the same ’11-’14 Duratec V6, the game was changed with the new chassis for 2015. However, the same concept of an easy installation without the need for any cutting, drilling, or permanent modifications required, was the basis for the formula on the new setup.
Like previous supercharger kits available from ProCharger, owners can expect this kit to be 100-percent bolt-on and include everything to get started.
ProCharger also comments that many enthusiasts will want to upgrade the components, or possibly tune the vehicle for higher-quality fuel, to make more power in the future. Designed to reap those benefits, the kit allows the option to upgrade to ProCharger’s 1,200 HP air-to-air intercooler solution. The H.O. intercooled system is designed to work on a factory V6 equipped Mustang.
ProCharger also has a tuner kit available for the V6 equipped Mustang as well. Other features include the option to upgrade from the entry level P-1SC-1 head unit, to the D-1SC, and even the F-1C is available. Looking more information on the kit? Check out ProCharger’s website for more details.
