Roush in thirteen words, one hash tag and one photo have dropped a sneak peak of the upcoming 2015 ROUSH variant. With the stage set and the curtain being pulled back, this most recent photo release is generating excitement among the pony herd.
Visibly meaner in stance then the 2015 Mustang GT, ROUSH has stepped up the game with a much more aggressive appearance to the exterior. This ROUSH badged pony is sporting an obvious lower grille, accented air ducts, and a more pronounced front fascia with a chin splitter.
With more hype being placed on the Shelby and SVT versions of the S550 Mustang, ROUSH has been more low key and hush about the impending release of their badged variant of the horse. ROUSH, one of the biggest names in pony world, will certainly pull out all the stops on their latest version of the 6th generation horse.
With the hood strategically hidden in this press release photo, you can expect there is accommodation for a supercharger. The standard Stage 3 ROUSH package, which includes a supercharger, would require a heightened hood variation to the stock hood of the 2015 Mustang, which we believe does not allow room for a supercharger.
ROUSH wheels are often a highly desired design in the aftermarket Mustang Wheel scene. ROUSH looks as they will maintain domination as the wheel of choice in this market with this design. Still shrouded in mystery is the performance of the S197 versus the S550. What to expect, and what will we see? ROUSH has likely engineered and designed a braking upgrade and components for the all new S550 suspension as well. S197 variants were overall better track performers in the turns, we expect the S550 to be no different.
With the recent release of the 2015 Mustang into the market you can expect to see the ROUSH hitting the showroom floors most likely by the first of the year. Do you think ROUSH will be able to exceed the performance of the outgoing S197 or do you think the all new S550 could be an initial stumbling block? We’re looking forward to testing the cars to find out.
