If you miss the SVT Lightning or you just happen to need a truck that matches your Super Snake Mustang, Shelby American just released the 750-horsepower street-performance truck of your dreams.

“Carroll Shelby was an early pioneer in high-performance street trucks, beginning with his first production version almost 30 years ago,” Joe Conway, Co-CEO of Carroll Shelby International and CEO of Shelby American, explained. “With the tremendous demand for our off-road focused Shelby F-150, fans of the classic Ford Lightning and our 2009 Shelby F-150 Super Snake have clamored for a new generation muscle truck from Shelby. Working closely with Ford Motor Company, Tuscany and other partners, we’re going to offer a limited run of super trucks designed specifically for street duty.”

To ramp up the performance with 750 ponies, Shelby added a Ford Performance supercharger atop the 5.0-liter engine and freed up exhaust flow with a Borla cat-back exhaust system. The company also enhanced the suspension for sharper handling.

From Detroit to Dubai and Dusseldorf, this is the ultimate expression of a high performance truck available through a dealer.”

Shelby will only build 150 2017 Shelby F-150 Super Snakes, which are available in six Ford factory colors and will be sold via select Ford dealers.

From the sharp handling suspension to the thundering 750 horses and pure American styling, it’s a remarkable vehicle. One of our goals was to offer the truck in limited numbers to preserve exclusivity and potential collectability.”

Part of what makes the truck exclusive is its Super Snake styling, highlighted by its signature stripes and badges. On the outside the truck wears Shelby’s hood, rockers, spoilers, grilles, rear bumper and tonneau cover. That theme carries over on the inside with unique treatments on the seats, dash and floor mats.

With a manufacturer’s suggested retail price, including the base vehicle, of $96,880, these trucks are available in two- or four-wheel drive configurations. They also carry a three-year, 36,000-mile warranty and are assigned a genuine Shelby serial number that is documented in the official Shelby Registry.
