How do you know you’ve made it in America? Is it after you’ve won the Formula Drift championship? How about becoming a competitor in some of the highest octane racing events in the world? Because Vaughn Gittin Jr. can hang like that. But in a sign that the Ford driver is finally going mainstream, Vaughn Gittin Jr. is finally getting his own toy.

Or rather, his Mustang is. Autoguide reports that LEGO’s knockoff Megabloks is going to be offering an official Vaughn Gittin Jr. Mustang RTR-X buildable toy for sale this holiday season.

Now we imagine only kids with the most racing-obsessed parents will even know who Vaughn Gittin Jr. is. Then again, Formula Drift has proven incredibly popular with the younger crowd, engaging a whole new generation in motorsports. Vaughn Gittin Jr. arrived on the scene last year, handily winning the 2010 Formula Drift Championship.

This led him to create his own version of the classic Ford Mustang, naming it the RTR-X and basing it on a classic body with a modern drivetrain. The RTR-X Mustang debuted at last year’s SEMA show and to this day it remains a fan favorite. And to be sure, this toy is a lot cheaper than the real deal, which makes it a great candidate for a present this holiday season. See, who says you’d never own a Mustang RTR-X?
