Vortech-Powered Tjin Edition 2011 Mustang gets Shot

You know, about the worst place to get really nice photos of cars is at car shows. That is something that should make you go… hmmm. You do know what I’m talking about, right? There’s this perfectly modded vintage ’69 in front of you and (pick one):

1) The family with the baby stroller and ice cream toting kids won’t move out of the way, or,
2) The dealer’s promotion signs are reflecting in the windshield and you forgot your polarizing filter, or,
3) The car’s paint is reflecting Fast & Furious scenes from the adjacent import’s 42-inch screens, or…

Well, you get the idea. Moving the show indoors really doesn’t make things any better, just difficult in different ways. Most of these ways involve overhead lights creating hot spots in the paint or reflecting off the shiny bits.

A very nice way to shoot a car is usually a nice, isolated outdoor spot early in the morning or just before sunset, but if you can’t wait for or depend on the weather, the only remaining choice is a studio. You’re not going to find this at the local plaza because car-sized photo studios are expensive and busy.

Still, since Vortech Superchargers wanted to get some nice photos of the Tjin Edition Mustang in circulation, they lined things up and the results are very nice. This pony first broke cover at the 2010 SEMA Show and while the designer is new to the scene, his work has been getting strong reviews.

The Vortech Anniversary Edition Black V-3 Si-Trim centrifugal supercharging system with air-to-air charge cooler sits nicely on top of the 5.0-liter engine, which is also equipped with American Racing headers and a MagnaFlow performance exhaust system. If that’s not enough to get you going, there’s also a Nitrous Express giggle gas system with carbon fiber bottle.

Under the Extreme Dimension body kit, coated in Dupont Samurai Gold paint, you’ll find an Air Lift digital suspension, fitted with a Baer big brake kit and Eibach sway bars. The rolling stock is 20×9-inch and 20×11-inch Forgestar Concave C5 Wheels, fitted with Falken’s 255/30ZR20 Falken FK-452 tires and 305/25/22 versions out back.

When you’ve put this much work into a show car, its nice to have great photos and these are pro grade.
